If my ticket is booked for St Pancras International, can I board at Ebbsfleet instead?
If you are travelling from St Pancras International, you can board the Eurostar at Ebbsfleet International. You can change stations after your booking has been made, however please bear in mind that some lines may not stop at Ebbsfleet (to check if your train does, please see the Ebbsfleet International Timetables). This will function in reverse, as you can board from St Pancras instead of Ebbsfleet International, but again, some trains from St Pancras International will pass right by the Ebbsfleet station, and some tickets from Ebbsfleet are restricted to that station alone. If this is the case, it will be shown on your booking.
If I am booked to disembark at St Pancras, can I disembark at Ebbsfleet instead?
You can disembark at Ebbsfleet if your booking is not for a restricted ticket and if the train you are on stops at Ebbsfleet. This will be indicated on your ticket, and if you are able to change stations you may do so.
What time is check-in?
For Eurostar passengers, check-in to the station closes 30 minutes before the train departs, but passport control and security checks can take up to an extra 15 minutes. Please note, Eurostar operates a similar check-in procedure to airports, so platform access for international services is only for valid ticket-holders.
Can I buy a season ticket for the new high speed domestic services?
Yes, you can buy season tickets for travel from Ebbsfleet for a period of:
In most cases, you can also purchase a season ticket for a duration beginning and ending on a select date. Prices vary depending on the station you wish to travel to, with Standard and First classes, and options for both adult and child passengers.
Can I buy a season ticket to travel from Ebbsfleet to the other Eurostar terminals?
You can travel to Ashford International and Stratford International with a season ticket, but not St Pancras International. To get to St Pancras from Ebbsfleet, you must choose a season ticket for the London St Pancras Domestic station. There is also a ticket available for travel between Ebbsfleet International and London Terminals.
Can I prebook my train ticket?
Yes, but you must check before booking, as Eurostar tickets will allow you to book in general up to 120 days in advance of travelling, but if you plan on using the French Rail Network, you are advised to book only 90 days in advance in some cases- Disneyland Resort Paris will take bookings from a longer period of time, and seasonal trains to ski destinations are available for the entire duration of the season.
If you wish to prebook tickets for the high speed domestic services you can do so, but you will only have an advance period of 83 days.
Can I book my ticket and pay at the station?
No, you cannot reserve tickets. Tickets booked online have to be paid for using a valid payment method during the transaction. You are able to book and pay for a ticket at the station but this is not usually recommended for Eurostar travel.
Can I book my ticket and collect them at the station?
If you wish to collect your tickets at the station, you must have your booking reference and the payment card (ie. Credit or Debit; the cardholder must be present) you used to complete the transaction. Tickets can be collected days before you are due to travel from either the ticket desk or any of the e-ticket machines inside the station, but they must be collected over 45 minutes before the train leaves the station.
Can I buy Paris Metro tickets from the station?
Yes, they are available from the ticket desks at Ebbsfleet International. If you wish to prebook Paris Metro tickets, you must do so on arrival in Paris, as you cannot prebook them from Ebbsfleet, St Pancras or Ashford International.
I have entered the wrong details, can I change the information on my ticket?
Not in most cases. If you have entered the wrong destination or name, you must make a completely separate new booking, and have the original refunded. Please refer to Refunds and Errors for information on how to do this.
If you have entered the wrong date or time, you can only amend these if your desired train has available space, and if your actual ticket is not restricted, so will allow changes.
I am travelling in a group but we are not seated together, what should I do?
If you want to change your seating so your party is together, you can only do this directly via your original point of sale. You can usually choose your seats when you book your tickets, there are:
These are subject to availability, and if the seats you require are not available, we will accommodate you as best we can. Please note that Eurostar seating is not like aircraft seating, and that once onboard you may be permitted to change seats.
