Gravesend Elf Help Day
The festive event will take place on 22 November in Community Square at 1.30pm in Gravesend.
World Record Attempt
The community and council of Gravesham are working with local schools and charities to organise over 1,000 elves that will attempt to break a world record previously held by New York ...
The event will raise money for charity over the Christmas period, while attempting to break the current world record for the largest amount of Santa Elves in one location.
The council will supply the hats and ears, as a present for participating and the council hopes to promote awareness for the historic area of Gravesham.
Locals and mainly people from Gravesham in North Kent are supporting the record breaking Elf event, including people from Ebbsfleet, Gravesend, Swanscombe, Dartford, Swanley and villages in surrounding areas nearby.
Ebbsfleet International Travel Company have chosen to support the event and have arranged free coach travel as a donation with partner coach company, as a result over 200 children dressed as Elf's can travel directly to the event. Also Ebbsfleet International Travel Company cargo transport service will collect recycled clothing that will be made available for new registrants on the day and the town’s participating charity shops are also collecting red and green clothing that can be picked up for free
To pre-register your place as an Elf or if wish to lend support with stewards please visit: www.christmasingravesend.co.uk/elf
Elves are required to wear red and green clothing, the council will provide elf hat with pointy ears (unless you have your own).
Simply turn up on the day at 1.30pm for registration. We expect the record attempt to be over by 2.30pm.
